DODA , JAN 03 (KNO) : Efforts are still on to rescue the 22 year old girl,Rakshu Devi , student of Govt Degree College Doda who committed suicide by jumping into the mighty river Chenab at Pull Doda area of Doda district yesterday . The Doda Police led by SSP Doda Mohd Shabir along with Chenab Rescuers team head Mushtaq Sheikh have launched hectic rescue operation in mighty river Chenab and are continuously using equipment and methods to get the dead body of girl out.Many attempts failed from yesterday and now, further rescue operation is launched on war footing basis with the help of boats ,robotic hand clips. The onlookers raised an alarm and shot pictures and videos of the girl for nearly three minutes, following which she disappeared in the icy cold waters of mighty Chenab. The reason behind this extreme step was not known.However Police has registered a case in this regard at Police station Doda and started proceedings under section 174 CrPC (KNO)
